Evette...Mommy to be

Wednesday, December 17, 2008

I met Evette several years ago through my sister... Ive known her through her college years, then she got married, and now she is pregnant!....and almost due! I was so excited to get to see her so close to her due date, and actually see that she is human and that her belly did grow to a normal size, cuz for those of you who know her she is the fittest of fit! Evette even pregnant is just gorgeous! She has this calming energy to her and a very peaceful way about her! I think the setting and look of the entire shoot was really her! I wanted to keep her as natural as possible because of the type of shoot we were doing...so i waved her hair with a smoothing iron, and really glossed it up to give it a lot of shine. I didnt do a lot of teasing because I dodnt want any height really, i just wanted to keep it like her but with a lil something. As for the makeup, Evette is usually very natural, and doesnt wear too much makeup, so it wouldt fit her or the type of shoot if I would have done anything too heavy. I stayed in neutral palletes of cremes, tans and browns, lining just the corner of her eyes to give them a little depth for the camera. As for the skin she has a gorgeous tan color so i just highlighted and contoured in the eye and cheekbone area to give her some definition! Lastly the lips were just a golden pink hue by lancomes juicy tubes...love the color selections of those, but not so much the taste :) Here are her pics by Alicia The Moderntype

Time for Shine

Tuesday, December 16, 2008

A lot of people always ask me what is your favorite product? and my answer has been PM Shines since the very first time I used it! All of my closest family and friends are in on it, so I thought I should let all of you in on one of my best kept secrets!

What is it?

PM SHINES™ translucent hydrating color is a deposit only, ammonia-free demi-permanent hair color. It consists of 27 intermixable colors and a Clear Shine, which can be mixed with the total color palette to create a multitude of colors. PM SHINES™ have been developed with an exclusive Intense Hydrating Complex (IHC) that penetrates deep into the hair shaft to intensely hydrate and help replenish amino acids lost during the coloring process.

Why do I love it?

it's easy, quick, and simply amazing* PM SHINES are easy to use, delivering true to tone, long-lasting, healthy looking hair color with exceptional shine and condition.

It's called PM Shines for a reason

The gentle formula coupled with a unique conditioning agent derived from Meadowfoam Seed penetrates into the hair shaft to help repair damage and intensify surface shine. I don't know of any other color line that can produce this much shine!

There's more to it than just shine

HYDRATING and CONDITIONING: IHC (Intense Hydrating Complex) penetrates deep into the hair shaft, intensely hydrating while helping replace lost amino acids

LONG-LASTING: An ammonia-free formula imparts less structural damage to the hair providing a smoother, healthier surface. UV absorbers help reduce environmental damage and keep color from fading.
For those of you who want more info...

SOY PROTEIN: helps replenish amino acids that are lost during the coloring process. Adds strength, improves manageability, provides shine and enhances hair texture.

For those of you who want to know more...

PM SHINES are grouped into eight different tonal bases and one clear base. Within most of the tonal bases, there are three categories of color to choose form: Light-level 9, Medium-level 6 and Dark-levels 3-1. PM SHINES™ is mixed with a designated Processing Liquid that provides precise tone and deposit. PM SHINES™ will last up to 4-6 weeks and will fade on tone.

GIVE YOUR HAIR A TREAT WITH NEW PM SHINES™

I am also shocked at how old, sophisticated and just so pretty Amber is now as I've seen her grow over the past several years! She rocked the do with that dress! Erica

Talk about a perfect gift! I think Erica's fiance's heart is going to skip a few beats when he receives these photos the morning of there wedding day! I have known Erica since highschool, and now get to help her with all her Wedding Fun! I am so happy for her & so excited to work with her* She is a gorgeous, exotic girl with a bit of an edge! We drove down to Fallbrook Ca. yesterday to her Wedding venue to do her boudoir shoot. I had so much fun with Erica and her two bridesmaids as we helped her throughout the shoot. Erica did about six wardrobe changes within two hours! She was so comfortabe in her skin that the confidence just comes through in these hot pictures taken by Shadow Catcher Imagery. Erica performed like a pro... here are just a few that we have thus far!

katherine's First Homecoming*

It was my delight to be able to work on this little diva for her very first homecoming! You can see in these pictures that little in size she is but NOT the least in spirit...this girl is not only fun and loving but her energy, spunk, and love for life is what makes her remarkable! I wanted to bring out her personality even more with her hair and makeup so i chose bright magenta and deep rouges for her color pallette which complimented her retro chic dress! As for her hair I prepped it with curls and through bits to the side giving her slight volume at the top with two flowers cascading across the low center, keeping it loose and fun like her!

Amber

In Addition to the Bride i did this weekend I was able to have some fun with two lovely young ladies who were attending Crespi Highschool's Homecoming! I love being able to do young girls for these occassions because I remember how much fun I had getting ready for these dances...actually I think i had more fun getting ready for the dances then the actual dances themselves! In spite of the crazy fires the dance went on... and so did the prepping! We had to change some accomodations and move the getting ready from the salon to a home where we had electricity, but everything turned out wonderful & Amber looked gorgeous check her out!
