Alicia was able to take some quick but great shots of Amber once she was already dressed, and there was no way these lovely pics of Amber were not gonna get posted! She looks like a model! I am also shocked at how old, sophisticated and just so pretty Amber is now as I've seen her grow over the past several years! She rocked the do with that dress! Thanx for making my work look so effortless! ...and I must say for a 3 minute photoshoot, it turned out incredible! Thank you for more amzing pics once again Alicia, by the moderntype!

Erica

Talk about a perfect gift! I think Erica's fiance's heart is going to skip a few beats when he receives these photos the morning of there wedding day! I have known Erica since highschool, and now get to help her with all her Wedding Fun! I am so happy for her & so excited to work with her* She is a gorgeous, exotic girl with a bit of an edge! We drove down to Fallbrook Ca. yesterday to her Wedding venue to do her boudoir shoot. I had so much fun with Erica and her two bridesmaids as we helped her throughout the shoot. Erica did about six wardrobe changes within two hours! She was so comfortabe in her skin that the confidence just comes through in these hot pictures taken by Shadow Catcher Imagery. Erica performed like a pro... here are just a few that we have thus far!

katherine's First Homecoming*

It was my delight to be able to work on this little diva for her very first homecoming! You can see in these pictures that little in size she is but NOT the least in spirit...this girl is not only fun and loving but her energy, spunk, and love for life is what makes her remarkable! I wanted to bring out her personality even more with her hair and makeup so i chose bright magenta and deep rouges for her color pallette which complimented her retro chic dress! As for her hair I prepped it with curls and through bits to the side giving her slight volume at the top with two flowers cascading across the low center, keeping it loose and fun like her!

Amber

In Addition to the Bride i did this weekend I was able to have some fun with two lovely young ladies who were attending Crespi Highschool's Homecoming! I love being able to do young girls for these occassions because I remember how much fun I had getting ready for these dances...actually I think i had more fun getting ready for the dances then the actual dances themselves! In spite of the crazy fires the dance went on... and so did the prepping! We had to change some accomodations and move the getting ready from the salon to a home where we had electricity, but everything turned out wonderful & Amber looked gorgeous check her out!

I have to start my new posts by saying thank you to Miss Alicia for setting up this blog for me! I am so excited to start putting up my work, special promotions, and just fun trends that I might be cutting & coloring! I have been working with Alicia for a while now; and I am so excited that she is doing photography! She is an extremely talented graphic designer, and an amazing photographer. Her combination of both expertise is what really makes these pictures priceless! Every shoot that she works on just get better and better* She has so many ideas, driven passion, and most importantly professional! I love working with her & am so excited to see her grow! I will be posting her photos on my blog as we continue to collaborate. Don't miss out on anything this girls doing check her out on www.themoderntypeblog.com!

Stef

Little Miss Stefanie was also shot by Alicia (themoderntypeblog.com)! Stef was such an amazing model for this traditional, yet not so traditional boudoir shoot. Some of these shots are usually what one expects of these shoots; however stef was so fun that her personality comes through the camera in many of these pictures! I really loved the was Alicia pushed the boundaries once again and took some shots in different settings utilizing the balcony and shabby chic chair! If you are looking for a photographer who knows different, likes different, and makes you look classy...Alicia is who I would recommend! I personally have gotten to work with a few photographers over the past year and think Alicia has a creative eye which brings the best out of the model and the shoot itself. It is always a pleasure doing hair and makeup for her because of how she brings out the best in people with her camera. For more on stefs hair and makeup read down below.

Stef recently cut her hair with me about a month ago taking her length about 5 to 6 inches shorter, so I wanted to bring back a little length for the shoot. It's simple some quick extensions did the trick giving her slightly a little more length so that she can have some curl and body as well. As for her makeup, I opted for mauve, pink, lavendar and fusia tones which enhance brown eyes bringing out all the green hues! we wanted sexy but not trashy; and I think that was achieved because we stayed away from black! Its important for girls to know what colors bring out the eye and what colors draw them in! Since some of the pictures were going to be in color I wanted to make sure that we kept tones vibrant and not flat!

Rachelle

Photographer Alicia Landin from (themoderntypeblog.com) took Rachelle out of her realm and into an outdoor boudoir shoot! Rachelle did a great job portraying sexiness in a tasteful manner! I think alicia did a wonderful job making her feel comfortable and getting sexy shots without looking to promiscuous! as for the hair and makeup for this shoot I wanted to bring out a sexy side of Rach so i smoked up her eyes, slightly "cat eyeing" the corners staying in the neutral tones of brown, which ranged from golds and beiges to smoky charcoals. These colors are a great selection for tan skin tones and light eyes! they complement and enhance tan skins and amber eyes like rachelle's without making her look overdone. As for the hair... every woman of asian, oriental, pacific islander descent who never thought they could get there hair to curl...Rachelle is proof that this is not so! With the right tools, product and technique anything is possible* These curls not only lasted the shoot, but last up to three days or until the next wash! I wanted to curl Rachelle's hair to make her feel different & try and get her into character of soft & sexy for the Shoot! Thanks to Rachelle & the very talented Alicia Landin for this successful shoot!
